Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has given a hint regarding his future at the club. Moreover, he believes that its time to close the chapter of Manchester City in his managerial career. That’s a clear indication that the gaffer is looking for opportunities outside England. After having won everything with Manchester, Guardiola believes that there’s nothing left to do. He can look for new challenges elsewhere. In addition to that, the 52 year old coach has won his 16th trophy as a manager after winning the FIFA Club World Cup last Friday. An easy 4-0 win over Fluminense confirmed Guardiola’s next trophy in his 8 year journey with Manchester City.
According to cityxtra, the end of the 2024-25 premier league season will be Guardiola’s last season with Man City. Pep just signed his 3rd contract extension with the club after 2016 this year. However, there’s no sign of any further contract extension as there’s nothing else left to conquer for the Spanish legend. In the meanwhile, Guardiola is aiming for his 4th consecutive premier league title which will be a new record in the history of the league if it’s done. However, as per the current scenario, City are way behind the top spot and it seems like they’re just gonna get the champions league spot this time.

” i would like to say that we had the feeling that the job was over. We have won everything that is possible to win here. I’m thankful to the management, coaching staff and most importantly the players of the team for all these years. It is because of these people that we are here today. They’ve worked hard day in and day out to get the best results for the club. Now it’s Christmas time. Buy another book and start to write another story for the club. When I close the chapter it’s 8 years of sheer hardwork and determination that has led us to all these titles for the club. We’ve got the treble, a lot of premier league titles and all other possible silverware for the club in the last 8 years. The players here are still hungry and motivated and they are not ready to settle for anything else than a win. I didn’t even imagined that we could win the World Cup when I arrived at Manchester City.” – Pep Guardiola said.
