Chelsea have got a good news. Moreover, the news is related to the injury status of their players. The blues were dealing with a lot of injured players in their squad for a while now. New signing Christopher Nkunku just made his premier league debut against Sheffield United this weekend. He was in the recovery phase for almost half of the season. He picked up an injury in the pre season friendly against Dortmund in the United States. All the fans were waiting for his debut in the blue jersey. However, the Frenchman couldn’t get on the scoresheet in his debut match. In addition to that, Chelsea are preparing to gear up for the 2nd half of the season as their injured players are slowly getting back to the squad.

As per footballlondon, Chelsea left back Ben Chilwell is looking forward to his return to the squad. The England international was dealing with a hamstring injury and was out of the squad since September. Moreover, Chilwell would be aiming to play the rest of the season without being injured. He wants to help the team get back to the winning ways. Furthermore, he would be looking to impress England coach Gareth Southgate in order to make a place in England’s squad for next year’s Euro Cup. In addition to that, Chelsea goalkeeper Robert Sanchez is working on his recovery an will be back with the squad in the coming weeks. The Spaniard picked up an injury against Manchester United at Old Trafford. He was replaced by the Serbian goalkeeper Djordje Petrovic.

Chelsea are currently at the 10th position after 21 points in 17 games. For almost half of the season, they were dealing with the injuries of their players. However, now they have the best chance to aim for the champions league spot as the team is getting back stronger. The players are getting back in form. Djordje Petrovic was exceptional when he arrived in place of an experienced player like Robert Sanchez. He even saved a penalty against New Castle in the penalty shootout to help Chelsea get in the semi finals of the Carabao Cup. Let’s hope that the blues get back on the winning track and grab the champions league spot.
