Arsenal will demand a huge fee if they decide to let Eddie Nketiah leave in January.

Arsenal will demand a fee close to £50 million for Eddie Nketiah if he decides to leave the club. The 24 year old English forward is facing an uncertain future at the Emirates Stadium at the moment. He’s got only 5 goals and 2 assists to his name in 16 appearances for Arsenal this season. However, he has 2 more goals than his teammate Gabriel Jesus. Both of these players are having a hard time scoring goals for the Gunners. Arsenal are leading the premier table at the moment. Moreover, they want to further strengthen their position. And to do that, they would need a striker who can score goals for them on regular intervals. Because of this situation, Nketiah is most probably the player who’s going to leave if it’s required.

According to tbrfootball, Arsenal want £50 million for their academy graduate Eddie Nketiah. However, most of the clubs won’t be willing to such a hefty amount for the 24 year old forward. Had he been an established player at the Emirates Stadium, things would’ve got much easier for him with respect to Arsenal’s asking price. Arsenal are justifying their asking price by comparing Nketiah to their former academy graduate Florian Balogun. Balogun went to Monaco from Arsenal for a reportedly £25.7 million. Arsenal believe that Nketiah has more potential than Balogun and hence £50 million for him is justifiable.

Arsenal will demand £50 million for Nketiah in order to accumulate capital for a new striker.

Arsenal’s top priority in the January transfer window would be getting a specialised striker. Moreover, they’d need capital resources for that. Eddie Nketiah is a player with lot of potential. Alongside Gabriel Jesus, he’s stepped up for the team during the crucial matches. That has surely increased his value. Furthermore, he’s happy at Arsenal. But the Gunners would need to offload him if they want a new striker. The fans don’t have any problem with keeping Nketiah even after getting a new striker. However, club has to generate capital for the new arrivals. Gabriel Jesus isn’t also having a good season at the moment. But the reason why he’s not on the club’s departure list is because he’s got vast experience of playing high profile matches and that would surely help the team in the long run.
