Italian star Federico Chiesa’s future at Juventus is uncertain. Few weeks ago, it was certain that Liverpool was a potential destination for him this summer. The Club had shown interest in landing the Italian back in july as per La Gazzetta Dello Sport’s report. However recetly Corriere dello Sport reports that Chiesa has turned down all offers from Premier League clubs despite receiving bids from numerous teams. Given that they haven’t received any good offers up to this point, Juventus is now inclined to keep both Vlahovic and Chiesa in their lineup.
Italian winger’s ‘Liverpool dream’ collapses this summer
According to the Rome-based media site, the Italian international had the option for moving out to join clubs including Newcastle and Aston Villa. Additionally, Al Hilal and Al-Ahli in Saudi Arabia offered the foward good options, but none of them attracted him. Chiesa loves Liverpool and would accept a move there, according to CdS. Although the Merseysiders haven’t made a move to sign him after july. It seems Liverpool no longer wants him as they are craving for a midfielder instead. Liverpool signed attackers like Gakpo, Nunez, and Diaz in the last three transfer windows. Thus they will not spend additional funds to bolster their offence with a midfield operation underway.
The winger’s recent injury records has also prevented him from regaining his previous pace, raising doubts about his potential. As a Result, Liverpool opted out from signing him. Thus the attacking foraward currently will have to remain at Juventus playing out of position in Max Allegri’s 3-5-2 system.
Juventus to retain both Federico Chiesa and Dusan Vlahovic for next season
Juventus faced major issues getting players to sign this summer. This is becuse they are facing difficulty getting rid of players who were deemed surplus. Juventus responded by placing a number of important players on their transfer list. Federico Chiesa and Dusan Vlahovic, two key players of the team and the only stars with high worth, were two of the players under consideration for possible transfers. Both players’ potential sales were the only way to raise massive funds. Juventus planned to use these funds to strengthen other parts of the team.
Juventus examined options like moving Vlahovic to Chelsea in exchange for Romelu Lukaku and gauging interest in Chiesa from different European clubs. However a Tuttomercatoweb narrative suggests that the club’s stance has changed. Juventus appears to be keen to keep both Vlahovic and Chiesa in their squad given the success achieved in selling other players like Denis Zakaria, Luca Pellegrini, Nicolo Rovella, and Koni de Winter.
