Arsenal begins work on renovating the Emirates Stadium

About Football Express UK

Arsenal will be taking advantage of the World Cup break. Plans to renovate and revamp the Emirates Stadium and its facilities have already been initiated. The club is firmly challenging for the Premier League title, as they seek to return to Champions League football.

The club confirmed plans to launch new artwork at the front of the stadium. Arsenal fans will have a new experience when they return after the international break. Arsenal management had consulted supporters earlier and are looking to finish the work as soon as possible.

The artwork at the front of the stadium has not been touched since 2006. The new artwork which would be prepared will feature club legends such as Thierry Henry, Tony Adams, and Cliff Bastin.

How new facilities will boost the Arsenal campaign.

Arsenal has had a fiery start to the season. With 12 wins, a draw, and a loss, they stand on top of the table. They are 5 points above defending champions Manchester City and will look to gain every advantage they can over Guardiola’s Citizens. One such advantage lies in fan morale.

Mikel Arteta and the club management will likely be hoping the renovations would further enhance the atmosphere at the Emirates. In any case,a club statement said:

“Since April, we’ve enjoyed extensive consultations with a broad and diverse range of supporters on the new artwork that will adorn the Emirates Stadium exterior. We started with a blank piece of paper and the sole intention of working with our community to create art that would express what Arsenal means in 2023.

“With the commitment, support and input of the Arsenal family, we’re now very close to finalising eight pieces of art that are true to who we are, what we are, and who we represent as a club.

“We’re excited to launch the new artwork in January and many supporters may have noticed that, as the World Cup brings a break in our men’s fixtures, we’ve already started to remove the existing art.

“While this means the stadium will be ‘bare’ for a few weeks, we hope you’ll agree it will be worth the wait! We look forward to sharing more details soon.”
