Mikel Arteta

Arsenal are having yet another good season under Mikel Arteta. They are competing with Manchester City to win the Premier League title. The gunners have promised the fans about some key signings in the summer and with transfer window rapidly approaching they have been linked with some good talents. Arsenal currently are being heavily linked with 25 year old striker.

Besides the midfielder, Arsenal very likely are keen to sign a striker. The gunners have been best scoring team in the league with 88 goals. However their strikers have failed to deliever on regular basis. Gabriel Jesus and Eddie Nketiah have only managed to score 9 goals this season. Arteta to resolve this issue is currently using Kai Havertz as the striker. Havertz has been very good recently. In this season the German international has scored 12 goals and provided 6 assists in the Premier League.

Above all the lack of scoring from first choice strikers, may lead to the gunners signing a striker this summer. The gunners are currently linked with Viktor Gyokeres who is in his form of life right now. Arsenal scouts are very keen to sign 25 year old striker according to Jornal De Notícias.

Arsenal to bring Swedish striker to the Emirates Stadium

Viktor Gyokeres moved to Sporting CP last year from Coventry. The Portugese club payed £17 million to sign the Swedish international. Ever since his move to Sporting, Gyokeres has been unstoppable. He has scored 41 goals across all competitions this season. Gyokeres has played a huge part in making Sporting champions of Portugal. The Swedish international has scored 27 times and assisted 10 times in Liga Portugal.

Arsenal are very interested in Gyokeres and want to bring him to North London. Gyokeres has a release clause of £86 million in his contract. Undoubtedly, Sporting will very likely demand a full price for their striker and it would all come down to gunners making a move. Arsenal were also linked to Victor Osimhen and Ivan Toney few weeks back but now Viktor Gyokeres seems to be their priority.
