Potential new stars from the Manchester United academy

Manchester United has one of the greatest academy producing high quality footballers. Along with clubs like Ajax, Barcelona and Chelsea, The Red Devils have produced some sensational footballers over the years. Players like Bobby Charlton, George Best, David Beckham, Paul Scholes, Ryan Giggs, Paul Pogba, etc are some of the graduates from United’s academy. All of these players played for Man United’s senior team and had a massive impact in their respective spells.

The recent addition to United side from their academy is Kobbie Mainoo. Mainoo who is just 19 years old is having a great season with the red devils. He is being praised from all over England. Mainoo has played 20 games this season in Premier League. He also has scored 2 times and assisted 1 time in those 20 appearances. Before Mainoo, Alejandro Garnacho was the academy graduate who made his debut last season. Garnacho is also just 19 years old but has already established his name as high quality winger.

Who can be the new stars from United academy

According to Teamtalk, fives names have came into consideration. They are Omari Forson, Dan Gore, Shea Lacey, Harry Amass and Amir Ibragimov.

Omari Forson has already made his Premier League debut. He also has an assist to his name. Forson is 19 year old winger who can also adapt as attacking midfielder. Forson however has contract expiration this summer. He could be part of United’s senior team or maybe he’ll have his future somewhere else.

Another 19 year old midfielder who has made his Premier League debut is Dan Gore. Gore has promised a bright future. He was sent on loan to Port Vale where he picked up injury and had to come back to Manchester.

The third name which has emerged is 17 year old Winger. Shae Lacey is Liverpool born winger who is making his mark at United. Lacey comes from the family supporting United’s biggest rivals but is very passionate about playing for United. Lacey likes to play on the left side of field and has high quality dribbling skills.

Harry Amass is another 17 year old left back from United academy who is catching eyes. Amass is an attack minded full back who has captained the under 17 England national team. He also has trained with the first team and was also included in substitute list for senior team.

The final name is of 16 year old striker. Amir Ibragimov along with playing as a strike can adapt and play as an attacking midfielder too. Ibragimov is a powerful striker and also can dribble very well. He is considered as a threat for opposition. Being born in Dagestan he had a choice to represent either Russia or England, and as per now he seems to have choose England.
