Tammy Abraham recalls his time at Aston Villa

Tammy Abraham

Tammy Abraham is currently one of the main players for AS Roma. He joined Roma from Chelsea back in 2021. Recently the Roma striker talked about his time back in Aston Villa. Abraham played for Villa in his younger days.

Tammy Abraham is a Chelsea academy graduate. At his young days he was loaned out to various clubs by Chelsea. In 2018-19 season, the blues sent him on loan to Aston Villa. Villa at that time were in Championship and struggling to gain promotion back to Premier League. The 1982 Champions League winners were having hard days. Villa signed Tammy Abraham on loan from Chelsea side hoping the young striker will improve the squad. This decesion of club in fact proved right and The Villans got promotion back they deserved.

Abraham and his time at Villa

Tammy Abraham was sent on loan to two clubs before Aston Villa. The young striker played for Bristol City in the Championship in 16-17 season. Again he was sent on loan in 17-18 to Swansea City. Swansea city were in Premier League at that time but were relegated at the end of season. Chelsea then came to decesion about sending Abraham back on loan for the 3rd consecutive year. This time it was to Aston Villa who were playing in Championship at that time.

Abraham was not too excited going back in Championship from Premier League according to TBR Football. However after arriving at Villa, the young striker was surprised. He realised how big Aston Villa really is. The Villans are Champions League winners in 1982 and are one of the massive clubs in England. Accordingly, Abraham also thinks that the Villans are underrated in recent times.

The young striker certainly seems happy recalling his time there. Abraham scored 26 goals and provided 3 assists in 40 appearances for Villa. Aston Villa along with the help of Abraham managed to make their way back in the Premier League and ever since have stayed in Prem. Currently they are in the best form under management of Unai Emery. Villa are on 4th position in Premier League and very close to make their way back in Champions League.
