Chelsea linked with three managers to replace Mauricio Pochettino

Pochettino

Chelsea may change their manager in next season

Despite spending large amount of money Chelsea are still struggling in Premier League. Mauricio Pochettino has failed to make an impact on Chelsea side. The blues are going trophyless one more season and are going to miss a spot in european football too. They are currently on 9th position in premier league. Along with poor form in league, they also lost Carabao Cup final against Liverpool. They had their second loss on Wembley this season after losing against Manchester City in FA cup semifinal. Chelsea fans are unhappy with Argentinian manager and this may force the board to take a strong decesion on his future.

Todd Boehly spent around £400 million last summer which doesn’t seem worthy after watching Chelsea perform. Chelsea have managed to only win 13 league matches out of 33. In some matches Chelsea side did really well, but they failed to remain consistent.

Three possible managers to Mauricio Pochettino as Chelsea boss

Mauricio Pochettino can be replaced by one of the three names. The three names are as follows – Roberto De Zerbi, Hansi Flick and Ruben Amorim.

Roberto De Zerbi is doing a great job at Brighton. He loves to play possesion based football and dominate the game. Brighton have been very consistent in keeping the possesion throughout the league. Having control over ball could be a changing factor for Chelsea side. The blues are also looking for Hansi Flick. Hansi Flick has similar style that Pochettino is using this season, that is playing with 4-2-3-1. So this could be a like for like replacement. Although these both options seem good, the third one has likes of everyone and maybe is the priority for Chelsea.

Ruben Amorim to take control of Stamford Bridge

Ruben Amorim has been heavily linked with Chelsea in recent days. The young portugese manager is having a great season with Sporting CP and leading them to title win. He has similar tactics as Conte when he was at Chelsea according to Football Fancast. Conte dominated the league and won the title using 3-4-3 formation. Amorim this season has also used similar formation of 3-4-2-1 and it has proved successful. Amorim has been considered as best younger manager currently by many. Chelsea board believes he could be a potential replacement for Pochettino and can bring success to Stamford bridge. For now Amorim is top priority if Pochettino departs.
