Chelsea youngster scores last minute winner for Strasbourg

Chelsea youngster who is currently on loan to Strasbourg FC scored his first goal for the french club. Strasbourg played Metz where the two late goals helped them grab a victory.

Andrey Santos started playing futsal at the age of four. The aim brazilian has was to lose weight at that time. He started to play football as a defender in Vasco Da Gama academy. Later he developed himself as a midfielder. He made his professional debut ar the age of 16 and then went on to become youngest goalscorer in club history. Andrey Santos recently turned 20 years old.

Chelsea signed Santos from Vasco Da Gama last year. Ever since his arrival to the Premier League side, he has been sent on various loan spells. He was first sent back to Vasco Da Gama for 4 months. After that he was sent to Nottingham Forest where he made his Premier League debut. He was first announced to be on season long loan but the club called him back in January. In February Santos was loaned to Strasbourg until the end of the season.

How good is brazilian youngster at Strasbourg

Strasbourg played Metz on sunday. Strasbourg were trailing behind by 1 goal. The club then score a late equalizer on 87th minute. Then Andrey Santos scored in additional time to grab all three points for the club. It was Santos’s first goal which completed the comeback.

Ever since his arrival to France, the brazilian youngster has been clinical. His performances have earned him a spot in starting lineup. In March he earned Ligue 1 player of the month award. He was also named Strasbourg player of the month in April. According to Transfermarkt, his market value is €14 million as per now. It would be interesting to see what decesion Chelsea will take about the brazilian’s future.
