Roger Bell to take charge as new CFO at Manchester United

There are lot of changes happening in Manchester United’s management. The club has announced that their CEO and CFO are going to be replaced. The latest news confirmed that Roger Bell is going to be the new Manchester United Chief Financial Officer. Thus the current Chief Financial Officer Cliff Batty is set to leave. The change in CEO seems to happen in the middle of July. Omar Berrada is set to be the new CEO of Red devils.

What can Roger Bell bring to Manchester

Roger Bell is currently working as Chief Financial Officer at INEOS. Bell has completed his graduation in Finance and accounting in 2002 from England itself. But even before he completed his graduation he was working as CFO for INEOS. He currently is working at Switzerland headquarters. He moved to Swiss back in 2010 and ever since has been there. INEOS is a multi national company founded by Sir Jim Ratcliffe. INEOS is one of the largest chemical producer in the world. The company also has a sports division which makes Bell familiar with sporting experience. Also Sir Jim Ratcliffe is a stakeholder at Manchester United and has authority over sporting operations. This can make them work as a duo and help United.

Bell has experience of 40 years and is expected to do well on the business side. His role at Premier League side, Manchester United is expected to be crucial as Finance and Sports goes hand in hand. It is unsure if Bell is still working at INEOS. His latest update on Linkedin was 5 months ago in which he said that he is planning to leave next month according to The Peoples Person. Although the role of CFO doesn’t involve direct signing of players it has many other important responsibilities. Some of the responsibilities of CFO include tracking cash flow, financial planning, analyzing company’s financial strength and weakness and proposing corrective actions.
