Chelsea have spent more than £1 billion since the arrival of Todd Boehly. This may cause some trouble for the blues as they are unable to show profit. They may be at the rish of breaching financial rules which may cause some real trouble in the future. Chelsea before making any new signing need to sell their players. The blues have been reported to sell some of their homegrown players as well.

Selling of academy graduates counts as pure profit which can help Chelsea getting financial books correct on a larger extent. The blues have already did this when they sold three academy graduates last season. Mason Mount, Callum Hudson-Odai and Ruben Loftus-Cheek all played for Chelsea from youth level before leaving the club.

This year Chelsea are willing to sacrifice Josh Acheampong. Acheampong is a 18 year old right back who can also adapt as centre back. He has been in Chelsea academy since he was 8 years old. He made his Premier League debut against Tottenham just three days before his 18th birthday. It has been reported that half of the europe are currently looking at Acheampong and it guarantees that he would receive a lot of offers. Newcastle are already rumoured to be making a move for Acheampong. Despite having a bright future, Chelsea would need to sell the emerging talent.

Who else are Chelsea willing to sell

Another Chelsea academy graduates who are reported to be sold are Conor Gallagher, Trevoh Chalobah and Armando Broja. Despite playing very well and being able to feel the void of Enzo Fernandez, Gallagher’s future is uncertain at Stamford bridge. According to Express, Newcastle United are interested in signing Conor Gallagher. It would be interesting to see which path Chelsea will choose in the transfer market. As per now, the club is extremely focused on achieving pure profit before moving forward.
