Mauricio Pochettino’s future with Chelsea

Chelsea appointed Mauricio Pochettino last year as their head coach. It has not been a very good first season with the blues for Pochettino. The Argentine manager failed to achieve consistent results. He was also unlucky to some extent as the blues were suffering with injury crises throughout the season. Recently Chelsea are doing great but Pochettino’s future at Stamford bridge remains uncertain.

Chelsea spent nearly £400 million in summer and winter window. Still they failed to achieve the results they have been hoping. The blues have failed to achieve spot in champions league this season as well. Even for spot in Europa league or Conference league they will need to fight hard in the remaining Premier League fixtures. The fans are disappointed with Argentine manager for the inconsistent results.

In a recent press conference, the Argentine manager made some statements about his future. According to Pochettino, its not always the club’s decesion or the owner’s decesion about a manager’s future. He said that managers should be asked too if they are happy. The decesion about his future depends on both the club and himself. Pochettino also believes that it would not be a huge problem if he leaves.

Chelsea have been linked with various managers in the recent weeks. Ruben Amorim was reported to be the priority of Chelsea to take charge of Stamford bridge. Along with him, the blues were also linked with Roberto De Zerbi and Hansi Flick. It would be interesting to see which path Chelsea will like to go.

Fabrizio Romano about Pochettino’s future

Fabrizio Romano recently speaking to CaughtOffside, shared some news about Argentine manager. Romano said that Chelsea are happy with the current display. He also said that Pochettino is aware that any decesion about his future will be taken after the end of the season. This confirms that the club will decide everything after the last game of the season. For now Pochettino is the head coach of Chelsea with two games in hand, trying to achieve European spot.
