Liverpool midfielder Thiago Alcantara has reportedly rejected a move to the Saudi League. However, Saudi’s will make a second bid for the midfielder.
Although, the midfielder at the moment does not want to leave the Premier League giants. He wants to leave on a free transfer in the 2024 summer transfer window.
LIVERPOOL MIDFIELDER REJECTS A MOVE TO A SAUDI CLUB
According to Athletic, Liverpool midfielder Thiago Alcantara received a proposal from a Saudi club. However, the midfielder has decided to reject the approach. The Spanish midfielder wants to complete his full contract with the Premier League giants. However, other Saudi clubs will reportedly make another lucrative proposal for the Spanish midfielder.
Liverpool are yet to receive a bid from the Saudi club. However, they remain open to selling him for the right price in this summer transfer window. The Saudi clubs will only make an offer after the Spanish midfielder agrees personal terms with them. However, the top option at the moment looks like Thiago will see out his contract.
THIAGO ALCANTARA WANTS TO STAY WITH THE PREMIER LEAGUE GIANTS FOR THIS SEASON
According to reports, the Liverpool midfielder is willing to run down his contract to move on in the next summer transfer window. He wants to complete his contract with the Reds. Jurgen Klopp also has no problems with keeping the midfielder. However, the club and Klopp are also aware that his sale can help fund a move for Southampton midfielder Romeo Lavia.
Southampton want a fee of at least 50million for Romeo Lavia. Hence, Liverpool will have to sell some player to fund more signings this summer transfer window. Therefore, the Reds remain open to offers for the Spanish midfielder. Thiago has also not fully closed the door to a move to the Saudi club. The Spanish midfielder will definitely consider more of a lucrative financial offer.
Liverpool also want to finish in the top four this season. Whereas, they also want to win the Europa League this season. Hence, the owners of club will definitely back manager Jurgen Klopp in the remainder of this summer transfer window.
