“More offensive than Thiago”- Former Liverpool star amid Eriksen transfer links

Tottenham Hotspur Stadium

Christian Eriksen is linked to a number of Premier League clubs since his comeback as Liverpool and Tottenham are seemingly interested.

The 30-year-old has enjoyed his campaign with Brentford projecting his stellar performances on the pitch. Eriksen’s performances have not gone unnoticed as many Premier League clubs have kept track of his situation.

Amid links with Liverpool, former Reds left-back José Enrique described his stance on the player’s transfer. Enrique heaped praise on the player describing him to be more offensive than Thiago Alcântara. He said-

“Another interesting player that could be our solution to our midfield, Eriksen is a top player and I believe he can compete for a starting spot in our XI. The season is very long. He is that kind of player, like Thiago, but maybe a little bit more offensive. But Thiago is our magician.”

Eriksen-Conte Reunion at N17?

While Liverpool are in the race to sign Eriksen, Tottenham could be considered the frontrunner for the player.

Conte has worked with the player at Inter Milan and Eriksen has an understanding of how the manager operates his game. Moreover, Eriksen’s return may not be a surprise as he spent seven years at the N17 before moving to Milan.

A reunion could be on the cards and Tottenham may hijack the deal from Liverpool due to the mere fact that the player shares a bond with the gaffer. Additionally, Eriksen’s stellar performances in recent times have aroused interest in the manager to make a swoop for him.

The North London club could see a potential reunion if the transfer goes through. Assuming Eriksen makes a comeback, it would be a treat for the fans to have him back at the club. Tottenham appears to be confident of the transfer but other clubs in the race could add threat.
