Liverpool have confirmed yet another injury in their squad. The Reds were up against Fulham last evening. Thanks to the brace from Alexander Arnold, Liverpool were able to get all the 3 points. Moreover, they’re still in the title race. They’re just 2 points below Arsenal who are the current table toppers. The good news is, players like Alexis Mac Allister and Wataru Endo have found back their form and both of them also scored in thier team’s 4-3 win over Fulham. Liverpool have still a long route to go in order to become the league champions. Howey, injury is something that’s been haunting Jurgen Klopp since a while now. Already players like Alisson Becker, Andy Robertson and Thiago Alcantara are injured. Still, the team is performing it’s best without these players. However, there’s been a recent addition to the injury list for the Reds.

As per expressuk, Joel Matip is the new addition to the list of injured players of Liverpool. The Cameroon international was limping in immense pain in the 69th minute of the match when Liverpool and Fulham were at level on 2-2. After the match, the coach has made it clear that no scan is done on the injury but it’s not a short one.

Liverpool have confirmed yet another injury and that may be a concern for them.

As we already know, Virgil Van Dijk and Joe Gomez are the only experienced players in the Liverpool shirt at the moment in the defensive unit of the team. New arrival Ibrahima Konate still needs time to get used to English football. Moreover, Joel Matip’s injury has raised concerns for Jurgen Klopp. The German is now in the dilemma that who should be played as an experienced player in place of Matip. Obviously we think that Joe Gomez is the perfect fit for this issue. However, we need to have a backup as well. What happens if Gomez is also injured or suspended? The Reds would need Matip to be fit so that he can lead the defensive unit alongside an experienced Virgil Van Dijk.
