Transfer News: Barcelona quote price on Chelsea target

Arsenal Team

Barcelona have set price on Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang who is strongly linked with a move to Chelsea in the transfer window.

The Blues boss Thomas Tuchel has received the green light from the board to secure the signature of Aubameyang this summer. Moreover, Chelsea are in talks with the Catalan giants over a potential move for the Gabonese international.

Earlier, Barcelona signed the forward from Arsenal in the January transfer window on deadline day and is now on the move. After having spent six months with the club, a departure for the player is being discussed among members of the board.

Moreover, Chelsea are looking to bolster the attack this summer even after the signing of Raheem Sterling from Manchester City.

Barcelona set asking price for Chelsea target

The Catalan giants have made interesting signings in the window that includes the likes of Robert Lewandowski from Bayern Munich. This could essentially see the Gabonese international slip down the pecking order in the new season under manager Xavi.

Chelsea could very well take advantage of this scenario and place a bid for Aubameyang in the transfer window. The Blaugrana outfit have made it very clear that they want no less than €30m for the forward this summer.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano took to Twitter and shared the information on the former Arsenal ace. He said-

Barcelona have asked around €30m fee for Pierre Aubameyang during the weekend, Chelsea wanted to spend way less than this. Talks continue, as Marcos Alonso is still part of the conversations.

Tuchel, pushing for Aubameyang as priority… but Xavi insists to keep him.

However, Aubameyang previously did mention that he was ‘happy’ at Barcelona would not like an exit this season. That said, a move could be on the cards and Tuchel could land Aubameyang at Stamford Bridge.
