About Football Express UK

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag is now open to the idea of letting his striker Cristiano Ronaldo leave this summer.

After the dismal performance United projected against Brentford in their second match, ten Hag has lots of work to do. It would be safe to say that the Red Devils took a beating at the Gtech Community Stadium after losing 4-0.

Now, the gaffer is wondering how to get the squad back on track and bring back the ‘glory days’. Moreover, Ronaldo’s future has been up in the air and ten Hag is now open to his exit from United.

Cristiano Ronaldo close to leaving Manchester United

Manchester United just have not been able to change their fate and now have two losses in two games. So far, ten Hag’s Premier League campaign with United has not been how he would like it to be.

Moreover, the Red Devil’s No. 7 wants a move away from Old Trafford this summer in the window. However, initially, the manager was not keen on letting him go as he considered Ronaldo as an integral part.

Whereas, now the situation has just completely changed after the string of losses that United have endured. The former Ajax manager is slowly considering letting go off Ronaldo in the transfer window and facilitating his exit.

The United No. 7 has always wanted to play Champions League football and was not too invested in ten Hag’s project. Moreover, the player’s agent, Jorge Mendes explored the possibility of landing him at Bayern Munich only to be rejected.

Ronaldo is closer to leaving than staying with the club and playing Europa League football this season. Erik ten Hag could soon engineer an exit for the Portuguese international and facilitate his move.
