Declan Rice deal requires more than €100 million to get over the line. Arsenal are the interested party. Now it looks like more teams will join the party. Arsenal now already have 2 bids rejected. They need to move strongly inorder to get the deal done. West Ham are very clear with their point. Nothing less than €100 million will do. Arsenal need to act now.
Arsenal need to act quickly before new clubs enter the race. Manchester City have enquired about Declan Rice. They are now interested in entering the race for the midfielder. If that happens then a bidding war will happen. Manchester City will likely come out as winners in the bidding war as they have more of the pull.
€100 million considered bit too much for Declan Rice
On Tuesday morning, Sky Sports’ Dharmesh Sheth broke the news that Arsenal were expected to make a formal bid worth £90m. This is for West Ham United captain Declan Rice.
John Cross of the Mirror then reported that the offer would be submitted today. This is with Arsenal believing they’re in pole position to make the signing.
A number of other sources then weighed in to confirm that the bid is imminent. These are with James Benge, Fabrizio Romano, and Sami Mokbel all reporting that it will be submitted within hours.
Mokbel wrote for the Daily Mail that Arsenal’s new offer is worth a “minimum” of £90m. But add-ons could push the fee closer to £100m.
Then, David Ornstein confirmed that the bid had been submitted, writing,
“It is anticipated the proposal of £75m and £15m in add-ons will be turned down by their Premier League rivals, but Arsenal are getting closer to a fee that West Ham are aiming to achieve if their captain is to depart.”
