Kalidou Koulibaly moving to Saudi Arabia this summer

Chelsea are set to earn an impressive £25 million for defender Kalidou Koulibaly. The former Napoli centre half signed for the club for slightly more money only last summer. While the Blues will not recoup the entire fee they paid. They are set to earn a significant sum from Al-Hilal in Saudi Arabia.

As per Sky Sports Italy’s Gianluca Di Marzio, Koulibaly is close to signing for the Saudi League club. He may be joined by Edouard Mendy and Ziyech in the Middle East in the coming weeks. Both Chelsea stars are being linked with moves to Saudi. This is as part of the nation’s heavy investment in their domestic league.

What does the future hold for Kalidou Koulibaly

According to Fabrizio Romano, Kalidou Koulibaly will join Saudi Arabian side Al Hilal as he nears an exit from Chelsea. Moreover, Middle Eastern club have reached a verbal agreement with the Blues. The defender will sign a three-year deal with Al Hilal.

Kalidou Kouibaly’s future had become a bother for Chelsea and their fans. The defender arrived with a huge reputation for his performances with Napoli.

Koulibaly will sign a three-year deal, reflecting the remaining time on his Chelsea deal. The wages and the transfer fee remain unclear at this stage. But the cultured defender will likely get a lucrative package for the quality he brings to the pitch.

Chelsea will also receive a much-needed cash injection for their troubles. However, the speculation began after reports emerged of a Saudi Arabian delegation holding talks with the Blues for three of their players.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is also a target for these clubs. But the deals have started to materialise with the Koulibaly transfer.

According to Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport. The 31-year-old will receive €30 million per season. Inter Milan attempted to sign former Napoli defender Koulibaly this summer. And they offered to take the Senegalese international. However it was on loan from the Blues.
