Cristiano Ronaldo to consider Manchester United exit in January

About Football Express UK

Cristiano Ronaldo made his Manchester United return last year in 2021 after moving from Juventus to help the side compete for titles.

Would be safe to say, things have not been the same as it was during his first stint with the Red Devils. Moreover, Ronaldo has grown frustrated with United and a few of the players due to a lack of character on the pitch.

The United No. 7 was under much speculation of wanting to leave Old Trafford this summer for another club. The main objective was to play Champions League football, something that United cannot offer as things stand for the season.

Moreover, Ronaldo and his agent, Jorge Mendes made all attempts to leave the club offering himself to numerous clubs. However, clubs weren’t interested to secure the services of a 37-year-old who is inching towards the final lap of his career.

Cristiano Ronaldo to consider Manchester United exit next year

Within the dressing room, it is understood that Ronaldo still very much wants an exit from United. A Saudi Arabian club offered staggering wages in order to sign the Portuguese international this season only to be rejected.

While Ronaldo is still looking to play Champions League football, it remains a difficult prospect to play at United. Manager Erik ten Hag is slowly trying to bring back the glory days at the Theatre of Dreams.

But it would certainly take time for United to announce their comeback in world football to compete for titles. A move in January could be a real possibility but a wise decision could be a move to Saudi Arabia.

Ronaldo has endured a rather slow start to the campaign with United and has not scored yet in any match. It will be interesting to see if the United No. 7 considers a move elsewhere or decides to stay.
