The New Chelsea manager may have found the ‘next’ N’Golo Kante

Chelsea have moved on from sacking Thomas Tuchel and have appointed former Brighton manager Graham Potter as the new gaffer for the season.

The Blues have dealt with a mixed start to the Premier League campaign under Tuchel with some nasty blows. The nail in the coffin that took Tuchel’s job away was the 1-0 loss to Dinamo Zagreb in the Champions League.

It is understood that the new manager in the West London side may have found the ‘nextN’Golo Kante. A replacement for Kante could be on the cards as the player is entering the final lap of his career.

Graham Potter has probably found the heir to Kante who is likely to succeed him in the midfield at Chelsea. The Blues could land Moises Caicedo, the Brighton player who has previously worked under Potter at the Amex Stadium.

The 20-year-old midfielder was linked with a move away from the south coast with his contract expiring in 2025. Arsenal, Manchester United, and Liverpool have shown interest in Caicedo for his impressive display on the pitch.

However, it appears as though, Chelsea could be the frontrunners to land the player this winter, all thanks to Potter. In an interview with talkSPORT, South American expert Tim Vickery deemed Caicedo to be a wonderful signing for Chelsea.

“I’m a huge fan.

This fella is already a reality and he has just taken everything in his stride.

“He was talking about Kante of Chelsea being his role model and he is already more than that. In say, a 4-2-3-1, he is like that second man in that line of two so he can defend, but he can also bomb forward.

“He’s timing his runs very well, he’s cool in possession and he seems to have the whole lot. I think he is a wonderful, wonderful signing.”
