Chelsea will hope to get back to winning ways in the Premier League with a win against Brighton. However, the Seagulls are favourites to win the match.
Brighton are currently 7th in the Premier League table. Whereas, the Blues are hoping to go above 11th place in the Premier League table this season.
CHELSEA VS BRIGHTON PLAYERS AVAILABILITY
Chelsea will not have Kalidou Koulibaly available for the game against Brighton. The Blues had to substitute him because of injury in the first leg against Real Madrid . Manager Frank Lampard has also said that it is a big blow to lose a player like Koulibaly. However, the club at the moment do not know the extent of his injury. They are yet to know the results of the scan.
Whereas, Brighton will not have a number of players available for the game against Chelsea. Adam Lallana , Jakub Moder, and Jeremy Sarmiento are unavailable because of his injuries. Whereas, Lewi Cowill is not allowed to play against his parent club because of Premier League rules. However, despite this injuries, Brighton are the favourites to win the match.
FINAL PREDICTION FOR THE GAME
Chelsea will again try to play the attacking game. They also tried it against Wolves. However, they failed to score and lost the game 1-0. This also meant that they stayed 11th in the Premier League table. Whereas, Brighton controversially were defeated by Tottenham 2-1. However, they remain in the race to finish in the UEFA Conference league spots.
Brighton will back themselves against an unconfident Chelsea. Whereas, the Blues will hope to win the game to get the confidence before the second leg against Real Madrid. Hence, they will also back themselves at Stamford Bridge against the Brighton team. Therefore, we expect a 1-1 draw between the Blues and the Seagulls.
Chelsea would like to have a win against Brighton. This would increase their confidence. It will also help in their quest in finishing in the European places. This is because the club are likely to face losses if they fail to qualify for at least the European conference league.
