Arsenal summer transfer target Moises Caicedo has signed a contract extension with Brighton. The Ecuadorian midfielder has also received a significant pay rise.
Hence, Brighton are not under pressure to sell him in the next summer transfer window. Therefore, the Gunners might have focus on different transfer targets.
ARSENAL SUMMER TRANSFER TARGET SIGNS A CONTRACT EXTENSION
Brighton have announced that Arsenal summer transfer target Moises Caicedo has signed a contract extension with the club. The contract is also now till 2027 with an option to extend. A report also claims that Brighton have given him a significant pay rise. This all happens after the Seagulls rejected two bids of the Gunners for Caicedo in the January transfer window.
Moises Caicedo also requested on social media to leave for Arsenal. However, Brighton made it clear that they are not going to sell him in January. Although, there were high chances of a potential transfer happening in the next summer transfer window. However, it looks like Brighton have convinced their star midfielder to extend his contract.
THE GUNNERS WILL NOW HAVE FOCUS ON DECLAN RICE IN THE NEXT SUMMER TRANSFER WINDOW
According to reports, Arsenal are now aiming to push hard for the signing of Declan Rice in the next summer transfer window. The report also claims that the England midfielder is open to a move to the Gunners. However, Chelsea and Manchester United are also in the race for his signature. Although, after the Moises Caicedo extension announcement, Gunners will have to now push for his signature.
Arsenal need to sign a midfielder in the next summer transfer window. This is also because there are high chances of Albert Sambi Lokonga leaving permanently. Another reason is also because of the consistent injuries of Thomas Partey in the midfield. Hence, the Gunners will have to spend big on signing marquee midfielders in the next summer transfer window.
However, the Arsenal fans cannot yet rule out the signing of Moises Caicedo in the next summer transfer window. However, they will have to spend over 100 million to sign him from Brighton. Brighton are also not in a hurry now to sell Moises Caicedo.
