Arsenal are reportedly exploring a deal for Bayern Munich defender Benjamin Pavard. However, Manchester United lead the race for his signature.

Inter Milan are also monitoring his situation closely. Bayern are open to sell him for the right price this summer transfer window.

According to reports, Arsenal are exploring a deal for Bayern Munich defender Benjamin Pavard. The defender is also open to the move. It is also after the Jurrien Timber injury. Jurrien Timber will miss a big chunk of the season because of his ACL injury. Hence, it looks like Mikel Arteta is already looking for replacements in the transfer window.

However, the Arsenal manager has said that he is ready to adjust with the injury. He further said, “It’s never my decision (transfers), it’s one we make as a club with other people involved. There are always other elements to that.”My focus is on getting the best out of the squad we have now. We are always open in the transfer market both ways.”

A report also claims that Manchester United has already talked with Benjamin Pavard. However, the interest of clubs like Arsenal and Inter Milan will surely turn the minds of Benjamin Pavard and his agent.

Arsenal have also other center-backs on their list for the remainder of this summer transfer window. However, the Gunners will also have to sell players before signing. They are currently negotiating to mutually terminate the contract of Nicolas Pepe. Whereas, Cedric and Nuno Tavares are also looking for new clubs this summer transfer window.

Arsenal are hoping to use the potential money from the sale of Balogun to fund their center-back signing. The Gunners have managed to sign David Raya as back-up goalkeeper from Brentford on loan to avoid problems with Financial Fair Play (FFP).
