Jack Grealish has contributed an incredible three assists and one goal in his past five games for Pep Guardiola’s team. After returning to Manchester City in December, his most recent goal was at Old Trafford in the Manchester derby.

But because of his poor first season after joining for £100 million from Aston Villa, along with his early-season performance, there have been rumblings over his future in east Manchester. Some reports have even suggested that Jack Grealish would be utilized in a player exchange deal.

Just two years after joining the team from Aston Villa, transfer source Fabrizio Romano has been quick to refute rumors suggesting that Jack Grealish may be leaving the Etihad Stadium.

“I haven’t heard anything regarding negotiations for Jack Grealish on the player’s, or the club’s side,”

Romano said.

“It’s January, so it’s too early to think about summer moves.”

Fabrizio Romano, who said,

“City maintain shielding him in public and private declarations.”

The 2-1 loss to Manchester United on Saturday afternoon has left Jack Grealish and his Manchester City teammates eight points behind league leaders Arsenal. For the time being, they will be concentrating on the difficult task at hand in the Premier League.

After the derby, Mikel Arteta’s team maintained and exploited their five-point advantage over City. They earned another outstanding three points with a 0-2 victory over Tottenham Hotspur.

Thursday night’s meeting between Manchester City and Antonio Conte’s team will be another crucial one for the defending Premier League winners.
