According to a tweet from Keith Downie, Livramento is done with the medical tests for his move to Newcastle from Southampton. However There have been conflicting reports on Livramento’s price. After last week’s agreement, Downie claims Southampton would receive an initial payment of £32 million, but with add-ons, the total amount might reach £40 million.
On Saturday August 12, at St. James’ Park, Newcastle will take on Aston Villa to begin their 2023–24 Premier League campaign. Eddie Howe’s team, who finished fourth last season, will next head to the Etihad Stadium to take on champions Manchester City on August 19.
