Manchester United players unhappy with Jadon Sancho after dispute

Manchester United

Reports suggest that certain members of Jadon Sancho teammates are not particularly supportive of the forward. Sancho came under scrutiny after his reaction to being out of the starting lineup on Sunday.

Jadon Sancho wasn’t even a substitute for the Red Devils in their 3-1 defeat against Arsenal. Manager Erik ten Hag later explained that he believed Sancho’s training performances did not meet the required standards. Thus the cause of his omission.

In response to being out of the picture, Sancho took to social media, asserting that he has been a “scapegoat” for a while. This reaction surprised and disappointed Erik ten Hag. Sancho, who joined Manchester United from Borussia Dortmund for £73 million two summers ago, has faced challenges in meeting the high expectations placed upon him.

ESPN’s Mark Ogden has commented on the dynamics within the dressing room. Indicating that Sancho is not universally liked by his teammates. Some of them reportedly believe that Sancho’s effort levels do not meet their expectations.

England squad might also exclude Jadon Sancho

Since returning to England from his stint in Germany, Sancho has only scored 12 goals. His inconsistency led to him losing his place in the England squad. Meanwhile, he is far from being a guaranteed starter for Manchester United. As evident from his appearances as a substitute in their first three games and his omission against Arsenal.

Despite his omission, the forward, who was formerly part of Manchester City’s squad, has stated that there were other reasons for his non-selection. He insisted, “Please don’t believe everything you read! I will not allow people to say things that are completely untrue. I have conducted myself well in training this week.”

According to the Daily Mail, Jadon Sancho’s attitude has become a concern for Gareth Southgate and his coaching staff. They are reportedly worrying about how he sulks when things do not go his way. His reaction to being out of a game at Euro 2020 is as an example of this behavior.
