Manchester City want defend Kyle Walker to extend his contract with the club. Hence, the Premier League giants have also offered him a contract extension proposal.
Although, Kyle Walker has also accepted the proposal from Bayern Munich. Therefore, he will not play for the Premier League side against the German giants in the friendly.
MANCHESTER CITY WANT THEIR STAR RIGHT-BACK TO STAY AT THE CLUB
According to reports, Manchester City want Kyle Walker to stay at the club. Hence, they also want him to extend his contract with the club. Although, the different tactics from Pep Guardiola means that Kyle Walker is not a guaranteed starter with the club. However, the Premier League giants want Walker to stay because Joao Cancelo wants to leave the club.
Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has also said that he wants Kyle Walker to stay at the club. However, he admits that the player has received another opportunity. Pep further said, “Kyle is incredibly important for us,”. “He has specific qualities that are so difficult to find out wide. I don’t know what’s going to happen. Both clubs are in touch. We will fight for him like I’m sure Bayern will. I don’t know how it will finish.”
BAYERN REMAIN IN ADVANCED TALKS TO SIGN KYLE WALKER
According to reports, Manchester City Kyle Walker will not play in the friendly against Bayern Munich. This is because Bayern remain in advanced talks to sign him. The player has also agreed personal terms with the German giants. He has also discussed the opportunity with Bayern boss Thomas Tuchel. Although, the German giants have not agreed a fee with the Premier League giants.
However, Manchester City are preparing possible replacements for Kyle Walker. One of the replacements is Bayern Munich defender Benjamin Pavard. Hence, a swap deal of both the players is not ruled out. The personal terms for Pavard should not be an issue for the Premier League side. Although, Guardiola’s preference is that Kyle Walker stays with the club beyond this summer.
Manchester City have done their best to keep Kyle Walker at the club. However, they will not try to force the player to stay at club. Kyle Walker is also going to have discussions with Pep Guardiola about his future beyond this summer transfer window.
