Man United might sign three prominent players for Qatari money

Manchester United

Proposed takeover of Manchester United is official. Prince Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani, chairman of Qatar Islamic Bank (QIB), who made the announcement on Friday.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe has since entered the competition to buy the Red Devils, but it has been suggested that Sheikh Jassim may start out as the favourite to do so.

At £4.5 billion, he has placed the largest offer on the table. The Glazers’ willingness to accept that payment should be made very plain in the coming days.

Manchester United players’ wishlist

If QIB’s bid is accepted, this summer might see a significant spending binge. These are three well-known athletes who might sign with Manchester United before the upcoming season.

Kylian Mbappe – Paris Saint-Germain to United

United’s main priority is a star striker during the summer transfer window. For now, there aren’t many better than Mbappe.

If Manchester United were to acquire the Frenchman from Paris Saint-Germain, he would immediately become a global superstar and bring in enormous amounts of money from sponsorship deals.

There might not be any conflicts of interest. United and PSG are most likely owned by different Qatari entities. A good example are RB Leipzig and Red Bull Salzburg.

Despite being owned by the same sports beverage company, Red Bull GmbH, the two European teams have traded a number of players.

Mbappe would be a massive statement acquisition for United, making them legitimate Premier League challengers for the 2023–24 season.

Jude Bellingham – Borussia Dortmund

But Dortmund, who promised him playing time, beat them to his signature.

Since then, Bellingham has developed into one of the top young midfielders. Despite being only 19, he has already established himself as one of Europe’s most in-demand players.

The teenager has contributed significantly to goals while also excelling in his defensive responsibilities. He exhibits all of the qualities of a top-tier box-to-box midfielder.

United will be in the running to sign the former Birmingham City graduate, who may end up becoming the most expensive British player ever, thanks to its substantial financial backing.

Josko Gvardiol – RB Leipzig

Last summer, Chelsea made a last-ditch bid to recruit Josko Gvardiol. Leipzig rejected several of their requests for him for the upcoming season, despite their desire for him.

The Croatian eventually signed a new, long-term deal, but he might leave this summer. The center-back should draw a tonne of interest from prospective buyers.

Gvardiol would be the ideal choice for the position because United clearly needs a long-term replacement for Raphael Varane. The Frenchman and the 21-year-old might alternate roles on a regular basis.

As he nears the conclusion of his playing career, Varane’s workload needs to be carefully regulated. He has struggled with injuries practically every season.
