Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool midfield in turmoil
Jordan Henderson, Fabinho, and Thiago have all struggled with injuries this season, and this has greatly weakened Liverpool’s midfield. Mount would be the ideal player to assist in resolving this issue, especially given his superior press skills.
Klopp has previously praised Mount, saying in 2019 that he was already worth more than £60 million. After a Chelsea-Reds game, he declared: “Tammy Abraham is now a £60 million player, Mason Mount is definitely a £60 million player, if not more, and Callum Hudson-Odoi was that already.”
Furthermore, Alan Hutton, a former Rangers and Tottenham defender, has advised Mount to explore for alternative options if Chelsea do not value him as highly as they should.
