Liverpool keeping tabs on Juventus ace Paulo Dybala: Can the Reds sign the forward?

About Football Express UK

Liverpool are reportedly exploring the possibility of signing Juventus forward Paulo Dybala as per the report in Italian outlet Calciomercato(Via SportsMole).

The 28-year-old joined Bianconeri back in 2015 from fellow Italian side Palermo for around £29 million. The forward was deemed to be one of the best young talents in world football but has failed to prove his worth in recent years. The Argentine forward has made 268 appearances in all competitions for the Serie A giants, scoring 108 goals.

According to the report, Liverpool are monitoring the current situation of Paulo Dybala with his current club Juventus and could make a move in January, given the player’s contract will expire at the end of this season. And the forward will be open to talking to the foreign club in order to sign for free in the summer.

Will Paulo Dybala leave Juventus to join Liverpool?

Signing Paulo Dybala for free will be a great acquisition for Liverpool. As the Argentine forward will be a perfect replacement for Roberto Firmino who has struggled to produce his best in recent seasons.

Dybala could drop deep between the lines and can play threading passes for the forward players which will make him an apt replacement for the Brazilian forward Firmino. However, it is not clear yet if the forward would want to leave the Old Lady of Turin or not.

The forward has always expressed his desire to stay at the Allianz Stadium and be a part of the club’s success. Following the arrival of Massimiliano Allegri. It is looking even more unlikely that the Italian manager will grant the forward’s departure.

The Bianconeri lack quality in the forward position which is apparent in recent struggles of the record Serie A champions. Therefore, it is important to keep their best players at the club during these difficult times and bring back the glory days. So, the Argentine forward is looking likely to sign a contract extension with the club and prolong his future at the Allianz Stadium.

Meanwhile, after a disappointing season last time around. Liverpool have bounced back brilliantly in this campaign after Virgil Van Dijk’s return from long term injury. The Reds are showing promises to achieve big prizes at the end of this season. And the Anfield faithful will be hoping that they can win the Premier League title this time around in a packed Anfield stadium at the end of this season.
