AS Roma are reportedly in talks with Chelsea to sign Romelu Lukaku on a loan deal. However, the Blues want a large fee and wants his wages covered.
Hence, talks are going on between all the parties in a positive. There is also optimism that the Belgian striker will return to the Serie A this summer.

According to reports, AS Roma are in talks to sign Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku on a loan deal. The report also claims that Jose Mourinho has sanctioned the move. Whereas, Romelu Lukaku is also open to a reunion with his old boss. Chelsea are also open to loaning him out after finding no buyers to permanently sell him this summer transfer window.
AS Roma are currently leading the race for his signature. However, the Italian giants do not want to include a buy option in the deal. Whereas, Chelsea also have their conditions in the deal. They want a major loan fee and want his full wages covered to sanction the loan. Hence, positive talks between the Premier League giants and Serie A giants continue to get the deal done.
CHELSEA HAVE NO PLACE FOR THE BELGIAN STRIKER IN THEIR SQUAD
AS Roma are aware that there are high chances of getting the deal done. This is also because Chelsea owners do not want negative energy near their first team squad. Hence, all indications make it look like the Italian giants will sign Romelu Lukaku on a loan deal. Inter Milan and Juventus also tried to sign him earlier this summer. However, none of them could advance in their deals.
AS Roma have the finances to complete the loan deal of Romelu Lukaku. However, they will need Romelu Lukaku to take a wage cut for them to afford his full wages. Although, it looks like Romelu Lukaku is ready to take wage cut to leave Chelsea this summer transfer window.
