Antonio Conte Eyeing Tottenham Hotspur Move Claims Journalist

About Football Express UK

Antonio Conte is reportedly willing to become the next Manchester United manager rather than hiring Nuno Espirito Santo at Tottenham Hotspur as per the report from Ekrem Konur.

Following a 3-0 defeat against the Red Devils. The Portuguese manager is being sacked as the Lillywhites displayed a lacklustre performance on Saturday evening against a struggling United team.

Spurs have started the season on a disappointing note as they are currently sitting eighth. In the Premier League table with 15 points in 10 games, winning five games and losing as many matches. The story in the Conference League is not promising either. As they are sitting third in their group with four points in three games.

According to the journalist, there haven’t been any official talks between Tottenham Hotspur and Antonio Conte taken place yet. The Italian manager’s priority is to join Manchester United over the North London club.

However, Fabrizio Romano has reported that after sacking Nuno Espirito Santo. The Spurs’ sporting director is eyeing for Antonio Conte to take charge of the north London club. Romano further claimed that the Lillywhites are close to finalising a deal for the former Inter Milan manager.

Conte wants to succeed Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at Manchester United over Nuno at Tottenham:

Following an agonizing defeat against Liverpool, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s job was in jeopardy. But after a big win at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, the Norwegian might be in charge for the next few games at least.

So, it might be interesting to see what Antonio Conte will decide about his future. Will he wait for the Manchester United job? Although the Red Devils hierarchy are not keen on appointing the Italian manager, or he goes to Tottenham as the Spurs’ sporting director Fabio Paratici is trying to sign him up at the north London club since last summer.
