The agents of reported Liverpool target Andre Trindade are set to travel to England for transfer talks.
Andre has been one of the names most regularly mentioned with Liverpool ahead of the January window. Having seemingly turned down an offer from the Reds in the summer, Fluminense are now ready to do business.
But according to The Telegraph, it may not be Liverpool who the Brazilian side end up doing business with. They claim that Fulham have installed Andre as their ‘first choice’ target should Joao Palhinha leave the club next month.
As a result, rumours are that Andre’s representatives are preparing to travel to England this week.
It isn’t made wholly clear whether their intention is to speak only to Fulham. However, with the Brazil international said to be expected to move to Europe ‘sooner rather than later,’ the Cottagers are reported to have been sending scouts to watch him play.
In terms of Palhinha – who has also been linked with Liverpool – claims are that Fulham want a replacement lined up before sanctioning any move. There is reportedly interest from the Premier League in the Portuguese, as well as from Bayern Munich.
Andre considerably ready for Premier League move:
In the early parts of last month, it looked almost inevitable that Andre would end up becoming a Liverpool player.
The Fluminense man himself even spoke publicly about the Reds’ interest and appeared destined to move to Anfield in January.
Journalist Fabrizio Romano has described him as ‘special’ [Here We Go Podcast] and it could be a big mistake to let him slip through the net.
Nevertheless, we’ll respect Liverpool’s judgement on this one. If they decide not to push ahead when the player is obviously available, then the reasons will be valid.
With the Brazilian season now over, things will finally come to a head with Andre over the coming weeks. One way or another, there’ll be an end to this saga. If Liverpool decide they do want in, now is the time to let that be known.
