According to Romano, Qatari bids have already expressed an opinion on United’s Alejandro Garnacho

According to an earlier report from ESPN, Manchester United’s youth Alejandro Garnacho is close to signing a new contract.

With three goals and four assists so far this season, the 18-year-old has established himself as a first team regular.

It is entirely deserving of a new long-term deal, purportedly lasting until 2028. Fabrizio Romano asserts that the prospective Qatari owners of the club concur.

Alejandro Garnacho is a “symbol” of the takeover attempt. The takeover that is led by Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad bin Jaber Al Thani.

Romano said on YouTube: “He’s one of the players that, according to what I understand, is really appreciated by this Qatari group.”

“They are convinced that players like Garnacho, very young with a winning mentality and already with a history in the Manchester United academy, they can be the example, the model, the role model for many other talents.”

“So this is what they want to develop, and players like Garnacho can be kind of symbol for [the] Manchester United project.”

The youthful talent has advanced to the first squad after helping United’s under-18s win the FA Youth Cup last season. Kobbie Mainoo has moreover done so.

Garnacho is probably not the only player who has won over the prospective owners. He is top class. He has helped Man United. Manchester United are right now at the top, with top scorer Marcus Rashford at the helm.

The Glazers have a few possibilities, including the Qatari offer and one from Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s Ineos.

Also, three American hedge funds have offered to contribute money, which could possibly allow the Glazers to remain, a situation that no United supporter wants to happen.
