Wolverhampton Wanderers player Ruben Neves said goodbye to the fans at Molineux on Saturday. There are claims Arsenal want to sign him. After being bottom of the Premier League at Christmas, Julen Lopetegui has done a great job in securing Wolves’ Premier League status.
Transfer news on Ruben Neves
Neves looks for a move elsewhere as he needs a new challenge. He has claimed that he loves Wolves and would like to be a legend there. But he didn’t deny the fact that he is very of the prospect of Champions League football. Ever since signing him as a teenager, Neves has been one of the club’s most important players.
It is common practice for players to thank supporters after the final home match of the season, but everyone at the Molineux felt it was more meaningful with Neves. Neves went on to say:-
“Let’s see what’s going to happen. I always say the same thing – I truly love to be here. But I never hide that I want to play Champions League football,’
“But nothing has happened yet. If it was m y last game here. I really enjoyed it and I’m grateful for all the people who worked with me over the six seasons.”
“In football, you need to go for your main goals and I think that will be a massive decision for me“
A move to Old Trafford could be more likely, which would benefit his settled family. While Neves had previously agreed personal terms with Barca, as Fabrizio Romano reports, he is no longer a priority for the club. The Red Devils are looking to sign a midfielder in the summer and Neves has been on their shortlist for a while. Not to mention, United are far too reliant on Bruno Fernandes for chance creation. He would add that extra needed depth to the squad
