About Football Express UK

MANCHESTER CITY ACCEPT BID FOR THEIR WINGER

According to reports, Manchester City have accepted a bid from Saudi side Al-Ahli for Riyad Mahrez. The report also claims that the Premier League side have accepted a bid worth 35 million for the Algerian winger. Riyad Mahrez has also accepted personal terms with the Saudi side. Hence, it looks like Riyad Mahrez will travel to Saudi Arabia for his medical and to sign the contract.

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola had made it clear that he would not keep unhappy players at the club. Hence, it looks like the Riyad Mahrez situation is no exception this summer transfer window. The Premier League giants will now try to make a new winger signing this summer. However, no talks are advanced for any winger.

PEP GUARDIOLA WILL NOW HOPE TO NOT LOSE THE LIKES OF WALKER AND BERNARDO SILVA

Manchester City have already lost Ilkay Gundogan on a free transfer and Riyad Mahrez to Saudi League. Hence, they will have to make sure that they do not lose any important players. However, this might look like a long shot to not lose anyone. This is also because defender Kyle Walker has agreed personal terms with Bayern Munich. However, he will hold talks with Pep before making any decision.

Manchester City could also lose Bernardo Silva this summer transfer window. The interest from PSG, Barcelona and Saudi clubs remain. However, the Premier League giants will not let him leave easily this summer. They are set to demand a huge fee for the Portuguese playmaker. Therefore, the only realistic choice at the moment is of Saudi Arabia.

Manchester City are also ready to offer Bernardo Silva a big raise for a new contract extension. Therefore, there is hope that Walker and Silva might stay for this season with the Premier League giants. Pep Guardiola will need all players focused to defend their treble of the last season.
