Chelsea have had a second bid reportedly rejected for Moises Caicedo. However, the Blues remain optimistic of signing him this summer.
However, the midfielder is not happy after the rejected bid. Although, Brighton remain calm on their valuation for their star midfielder.
CHELSEA AND MOISES CAICEDO TRANSFER LINKS FULL STORY
According to reports, Brighton have rejected a second bid for Moises Caicedo from Chelsea. The reports also claim that bid was 70 million with no add-ons. Hence, the Seagulls immediately rejected the bid for the midfielder. However, the Blues remain optimistic about the situation. Although, Moises Caicedo is not at all happy with the situation.
The midfielders wants a move to Chelsea this summer transfer window. Hence, he has also agreed a long-term contract with the Blues. The report also claims that the Premier League giants will again make a third bid for Moises Caicedo. It will also include add-ons. A report also claims that Brighton are demanding a fee of 80 million including the add-ons.
THE BLUES ARE ALSO NOW IN THE MARKET FOR A NEW CENTER-BACK
Chelsea will also hope to sign a center-back this summer transfer window. This is after the news that defender Wesley Fofana has suffered an ACL injury. The injury will also likely rule him out for most of the season. Hence, the Blues need to sign a new defender. Fofana’s injury also means that Levi Cowill’s contract extension is now more than important.
Chelsea have offered him a new contract. However, Levi is yet to accept or reject the contract. Pochettino has also liked his performances for Brighton on loan last season. Hence, the Blues also did not include him in the Moises Caicedo deal. Brighton also had bids of 30 million and 40 million rejected for the defender early in this summer transfer window.
