Ian Wright is disappointed with Reiss Nelson Arsenal player vs Liverpool

Arsenal

Ian Wright has given his verdict on the performance of Arsenal winger Reiss Nelson against Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday evening.

The Arsenal legend was not at all impressed by the display produced by the 24-year-old winger.

So, what has Ian Wright said about Arsenal winger Reiss Nelson? Let’s take a look.

Well, Arsenal took on Premier League rivals Liverpool at the Emirates Stadium in North London in the third round of the FA Cup on Sunday evening.

Reiss Nelson started the tie for Mikel Arteta’s side. The 24-year-old winger was deployed on the left of a front-three in a 4-3-3 formation.

Ian Wright comments on Arsenal winger Reiss Nelson

While the winger worked hard and caused Liverpool problems with his running,

Like the rest of the Arsenal team, he could not finish the chances.

And also that was the difference between Arsenal and Liverpool, who won the tie.

Arsenal legend Ian Wright has given his verdict on Nelson, and he was not impressed.

Wright said about Nelson on the Wrighty’s House podcast: “Reiss Nelson’s in the first couple of minutes, he could have done anything with that. But that is the kind of chance for Reiss Nelson as well, that he has to take.

“He’s 24 now, when is the penny going to drop for Reiss that at 24 now you should be playing regularly,

Making week-in, week-out consistent performances as the winger, the skilful, pacey, winger creative.

“All the things that come with a good winger and he’s still somebody that’s on the fringes. This is a massive game in the FA Cup, massive game.”

In my view, Reiss Nelson does not have a future at Arsenal. I do not see the winger become a success at the North London club.

Nelson is a fringe player at Arsenal. He is 24 now. At this stage of his career, the winger has to be playing regularly.

I do not think that Gunners manager Mikel Arteta will use Nelson week in and week out. The winger has not made a single start in the Premier League this season

And also has started just one UEFA Champions League game for the Gunners this season.
