Manchester City faced Real Madrid in the second leg of the Champions League Semi finals. Manchester City was in the driving seat with an aggregate of 5-3. However, Rodrygo scored twice in the last minutes of the game to level the aggregate. Karim Benzema later converted a spot kick in the first half of extra time to give them the lead. Real Madrid went on to win the game after extra time.

Defense
Ederson – Ederson could have saved Rodyrgo’s first goal had he came up a little more. However he could not much about the second goal and a penalty is all up to fate.

Kyle Walker – Was probably rushed into the game after injury. Pep shouldn’t have played him but did well considering. However had to come off as he may have aggregated his injury.

Ruben Dias – Dias was decent until the last minutes of the game where he allowed Rodrygo to score twice. Moreover, He gave away the penalty which gave Real Madrid the lead. A forgetful night.

Aymeric Laporte – Received a yellow card for diving however did well defensively.

Joao Cancelo – Was unable to make things happen in the Real Madrid box. Moreover he did not step up when Ederson needed him, Not a display he can be proud of.

Bernardo Silva – Silva was one of the better players for City and made a lot of decent attacks in the final third. However, His efforts went in vain.

Rodri – Kept hold of the midfield and did not do much else.

Kevin De Bruyne – Was the engine for Manchester City as usual. Taking him off probably caused City’s downfall. A solid game nonetheless.
