Newcastle United are eager to sign in Martin Terrier of Stade Rennais. The English football club, based on Newcastle, Tyne, laid their foundation in 1892. Newcastle have won 4 League titles, 6 FA Cups, and a FA Charity Shield. As well as the 1968–69 Inter-Cities Fairs Cup and the 2006 UEFA Intertoto Cup. The Magpies have the ninth-highest total of trophies won by an English club. But somehow, the club couldn’t keep up to their legacy. The Magpies finished at 11th position, just 14 points above the relegation. The north-east giants didn’t even finish in the top half of the Premier League table last season. Hence, Newcastle manager Eddie Howe needs to work on his team tactics to give profitable results this season. Currently, the Eddie Howe side with 2 draws, 1 defeat, and 1 win, and the Magpies sit at 10th position in the Premier League.

Meanwhile, Stade Rennais is a French football club based in Rennes, Brittany, founded in 1901, and competes in the Ligue 1. Rennes has won three Coupe de France titles in 1965, 1971, and 2019. Rennes is known for its youth academy. The Frenchman Martin Terrier is the one that has caught the eyes of selectors all around the world. And now the English side Newcastle United are keen to bring him in.

25-year-old French international, who plays as the second striker for Ligue 1 club Rennes. Terrier in 2016, debuted for the Lille first team. Following his arrival in august 2017, to Strasbourg on loan. Furthermore, on January 2018, Terrier was sold to Lyon for €11 million. And finally, on July 2020, Rennes bought Terrier for a five-year contract with the club, for €12 million. Moreover, Newcastle United wants to bring the Frenchman to the English side for £25million. Newcastle United manager Eddie Howe wants to add more firepower to his attacking side.
