In 2017 he joined the Catalans for €145 Million and has made 118 appearances since then. He scored 30 goals and provided 21 Assists.

If no agreement is reached with Barcelona, they can sell him in January to bring in some cash. However, he can sign a pre-contract agreement with an overseas side when the winter window opens. He would be arriving at Newcastle United as a free agent.
