Neville makes prediction about Liverpool vs Arsenal next week’s match

Liverpool

Gary Neville has now given an early prediction of what will happen between Liverpool and Arsenal after yesterday’s football.

The Reds lost their place at the top of the Premier League standings after drawing 0-0 at home with Manchester United, with the Gunners securing a 2-0 win against Brighton & Hove Albion.

With the two sides due to meet on Saturday, this clash could be a potential title decider depending on what happens in the aftermath of this massive clash at Anfield.

And speaking on Sky Sports yesterday, Neville has now predicted Arsenal to beat Liverpool convincingly if the Reds play like they did against United on the weekend.

Indeed, the Anfield side endured one of their most frustrating performances of the year against United,

And Neville thinks a competent side like Arsenal could give Liverpool some problems later this week.

Neville said about Liverpool’s performance ahead of facing Arsenal:

“If Liverpool were to play like this against Arsenal next week, they’d be two or three down by now.”

Liverpool need to work hard ahead of Arsenal clash to beat them

Whilst Liverpool haven’t lost against Arsenal at Anfield since 2012, the Gunners are showing this season that they could be up for the task this season.

Mikel Arteta’s side beat Manchester City for the first time in the league in over decade,

And a win against Liverpool could now be on the cards if the Reds fail to turn up on the weekend.

Whilst Liverpool will have the Anfield factor at play,

Arsenal are showing a maturity that we haven’t seen from the north London side in some time.

And heading into Saturday, Liverpool have to be on the top of their game

If they’re to get a win against Arsenal, with a loss potentially disastrous in the Premier League title race.

However, Neville believes Jurgen Klopp’s side could be in trouble if they put in a similar performance to that which saw them fail to win against United.

Speaking during commentary at Anfield, Neville said:

“Every game is different but if Liverpool were playing like this against Arsenal next weekend,

They’d be down two or three goals right now.”
