The star midfielder of Wolverhampton Wanderers Ruben Neves is topping the potential transfer targets list of Manchester United.

The Red Devils boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is willing to strengthen his midfield this summer. With Nemanja Matic turning 33 next month will make some gaps to fill in the midfield department. Moreover, Paul Pogba’s inconsistent performances make the mid vulnerable for Manchester United. In addition, Scott McTominay and Fred have also failed to live up to their expectation in recent years. Thus, Ole is concerned about the midfield and sees Neves as a potential solution for it.

According to the reports from Eurosport, Manchester United are ready to open talks for Neves and have made him as the top target this summer.

Arsenal are also linked with Neves beside Manchester United.

According to the reports, Arsenal are also preparing a bid of around £35m to get the signatures of the Portugues. However, Neves still has three years left on his contract with Wolves. It will be strenuous for Arsenal and United as he has been playing a crucial role for his current club.

Moreover, the 24-year-old has played a key part in Wolves success in recent years. The Portugues international is featuring as a regular first-team player for the Wanderers since his arrival at Molineux four years ago. Thus, helping his side to gain the promotion to the Premier League in his debut season with the club.

While Ole is very keen to get the Wolves midfielder as he looks to compete for the Premier League title next season. In addition to that, The Red Devils are also about to complete the signing of Jadon Sancho, who is yet to complete his medical with United. Thus, adding Neves to the Manchester squad will surely bolster their attacking side.
