Manchester United is monitoring Kieran Trippier situation

About Football Express UK

Manchester United are linked with a transfer of Kieran Trippier. His current club, Atletico Madrid are making preparations for his departure. The 30-year-old right-back had a superb season for his club, who were the La Liga champions this time around.

Although the Spanish giants are trying their best to keep him at Wanda Metropolitano, the preparations for his possible replacements has been already done. Whereas, a return to the Premier League would be a tricky task as it would be a good competition for him alongside fellow right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

The English international has two more years left in his contract and the club won’t be selling him if the asking price would be less than £ 30 million.

Manchester United would be unstoppable if they sign Trippier now!

Kieran Trippier joined Atletico from Tottenham Hotspur in 2019. Since then, he has made 68 appearances bagging 11 assists and his team were rewarded with a La Liga trophy last season.

Whereas, Manchester United were the runners-up last season in the Premier League and are building a strong team. After acquiring the services of Jadon Sancho, their next target would be Trippier.

According to AS, the defender is house-hunting at Manchester and the club has identified his possible replacements. The replacements could be Nelson Semedo (Wolves) or Giovanni Di Lorenzo (Napoli).

However, the Spanish club already has Santiago Arias and Sime Vrsaljko as the other options available in the squad. But, both of them have been far from impressive. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side would be keen on closing the deal alongside another linked defender, Raphael Varane.

The English club would play friendlies against Queen Park Rangers, Brentford, Preston and Everon. They then host Leeds United on the first matchweek (14th August) in the league.
