MANCHESTER CITY CONFIRM A VERY IMPORTANT CONTRACT EXTENSION

Manchester City have confirmed that defender Nathan Ake has signed a contract until 2027. The defender deserves the long-term contract. This is also after he played a huge part in the treble last season. Hence, the ownership and Pep Guardiola are delighted to confirm his contract extension. The defender will now hope to contribute more than the last season.

The Manchester City defender has also thanked Pep Guardiola for improving him as a player. He further said, “Pep is the best manager in football – a genius who has made me see the game differently – so to be able to work with him for longer is a real privilege. I am so grateful to him for everything he has done for me, both personally and professionally.

THE CLUB WILL NOW FOCUS ON REPLACING RIYAD MAHREZ THIS SUMMER TRANSFER WINDOW

According to reports, Manchester City will now focus on signing a winger this summer. This also comes after the departure of Riyad Mahrez to the Saudi League. Hence, the Premier League giants are ready to wait for the right opportunity to sign a winger this summer. Pep Guardiola himself has also not ruled big signings this summer transfer window.

Manchester City manager further said, “The market is open until the end of August… I think a few things or many things are going to happen”. “We will see if we need wingers or inside players, we will see what happens with loan players, which players stay here or no”. The Premier League giants are also in advanced discussions to sign RB Leipzig defender Josko Gvardiol. However, they have not sealed a full agreement yet. Although, the player has agreed personal terms with the Premier League side.

Manchester City are aware that teams around them are improving massively. Hence, they also need new signings to retain their trophies of the last season. Therefore, the ownership will definitely back Pep Guardiola with funds to make new signings.
