Leif Davis wins the Player of the Month award for Bournemouth due to his consistent performance in the Championship. It has been a phenomenal month for the 22-year-old Leeds gem from an individual perspective.

As a result, he picked up the Player of the Month in the EFL Championship. This comes in as good news for the young prodigy after the defeat against Boreham Wood. Bournemouth was defeated by Boreham Wood by a margin of 1-0. This defeat has left him devastated but he has now received some positive news.

Davis joined the Cherries on a season-long loan in the previous summer transfer window. The left-back has had a tough time with Bournemouth up until now.

The 22-year-old had to take up the rotation role. As a result, he has been in and out of the first 11. However, this Player of the Month award will give him a huge boost in confidence and cement his spot in the playing eleven.

The youngster dominated the voting with 60.9% of the votes going in his favor, as per Bournemouth’s official website.

Leif Davis on the award

Leif Davis revealed that he was “delighted” to receive the award. He announced the news on Twitter.

Meanwhile, it has been a tough month for Scott Parker and his side. They had to endure three losses in five games. However, Davis has emerged from January with lots of credit.

In view of the situation, Davis can put a serious challenge on Junior Firpo all the way for a place in the starting 11. So, Leeds manager Marcelo Bielsa will have a tough choice to make in the left-back position as Davis comes back from the loan.

The Leeds Academy graduate has even been liked by Arjen Robben. So, Davis deserves a chance next season if the Cherries decide not to sign him.

Some Leeds fans even objected to the loan move out to Bournemouth. Moreover, they also objected to the option to buy at the time of his departure.

So all eyes are set on Davis, as he continues to outshine with his excellent form.
