Ziyech return to Morocco seems impossible as Lukaku gets harsh criticism

About Football Express UK

Ziyech’s hope of returning to the international squad seems impossible while Lukaku got harshly criticized for his latest performance.

Hakim Ziyech’s return to Morocco national team seems to be over after manager Vahid Halihodzic warned it would be ‘impossible’.

Meanwhile, the Chelsea winger missed out on this year’s Africa Cup of Nations. He fell out of favor with his international side in September.

That has meant that the Blues can use him more frequently. They can count on the former Ajax man who has begun to perform well for the Blues.

Ziyech remained with the club as his national side made it to the quarter-finals of the tournament. As things stand, it currently looks difficult for him to add to his tally of 40 caps for his country.

It comes after Morocco manager Vahid Halihodzic accused the winger of refusing to play in a friendly last September.

Lukaku facing harsh criticism owing to bad performance

Lukaku returned for a second spell at Stamford Bridge after his arrival from Inter Milan last summer. However, his time has so far proved to be very controversial. Moreover, his performance has dipped far from his time in Inter Milan.

As a result, Lukaku is facing the heat from his own fanbase. It comes after former Chelsea defender Glen Johnson spoke about the signing. He has told the club that the £97.5m signing of Romelu Lukaku last summer looks like a “mistake”.

In an interview with Sky Italia, the Belgium international expressed his feelings. He revealed he is “not happy” with his situation in Chelsea.

Meanwhile, Johnson admitted Lukaku is a “good player”. However, he has warned Thomas Tuchel he is not so sure he suits the way Chelsea plays.

The 28-year-old striker had another dreadful performance against Plymouth Argyle. He missed a lot of clear opportunities in the match.

As it stands, Lukaku’s poor run of form doesn’t seem to end. Lukaku managed to score only 5 goals in 16 matches, which is disappointing from a player of his stature.

As a result, the Belgian striker is receiving a lot of criticisms from Chelsea fans. As per various reports, the Chelsea board may also consider parting ways with the striker if he fails to improve his form.
