Jack Wilshere: ‘fans don’t realise how good Bukayo Saka is’

Arsenal Team

During the interview with The Sun, Jack Wilshere said that it’s incredible how Bukayo Saka always makes the right decision.

He also believes that English fans don’t understand how good the Arsenal winger is.

Saka started ahead of Phil Foden in England’s first world cup games against Qatar. He scored a goal in that game and gave a performance which made every fan admire him.

Bukayo Saka is outstanding

Saka has been outstanding for Arsenal this season, and no one has contributed more goals for Mikel Arteta this Premier League season than him.

Wilshere was not surprised with Saka’s selection in the world cup squad.

He had a message for everyone who is doubting his selection.

I wonder if the England fans realise what a truly great player we have in Bukayo Saka,”

he said.

“Yes, I know I’ll be accused of bias because Bukayo plays for Arsenal but, honestly, he has special gifts.

“What amazes me about him is he always makes the right decision, it’s incredible.

“It is so rare for a young player – he’s only just turned 21 – to instinctively know what is right in any given situation. I stress with my Arsenal Under-18 players to study him.”

Amongst the whole squad, Saka’s selection should be the last worry for the fans. With his recent form and fighting his way into the team in the Euros in 2020, his selection is justified.

Raheem Sterling’s selection is however conflicting. He is having a fairly average season with Chelsea.

Also, him starting over Phil Foden is a questionable decision given Foden’s recent form.

However, with a long season in a quick time period, Sterling’s selection seems somewhat valid. He has been incredible for England in the past and his experience can surely help the team.
